Ever since I was young I’ve been aware of my mismatched eyes. Graduation pictures, ID pictures, closed up pictures and other formal pictures which inhibits you to do some wacky or widen eyes poses.
Picture Left shows my eyes when I’m relaxed and Picture Right shows my eyes when I’m trying to fix/correct it.
The right eye is larger that the left and the left is kinda down to earth compared to the right which thinks he’s more than the other (dramatization). My mom used to joke me ” The left eye is the Chinese while the right is the Spanish and they don’t get along with each other son”.
I guess that’s how she likes to explain my blood, though I didn’t really showed any signs of Spanish blood of my father’s side except for the surname. You wouldn’t actually notice my uneven eyes at first while we’re having a conversation close or even closer as long as I’ll tell you so. Or you’ll only catch it by looking at my reflection. Back at high school they tend to tell me my eyes signifies a dual persona, or I can see spirits, which is very ridiculous.
My uneven eyes bothers me, not because out of all students in the campus, I stand alone but because it might be a sign of a hidden disease. I’ve scavenged our old native chinese boxes in the attic to look for pictures of my ancestors, hopeful I’ll find answers, but none of them had my genetic disorder.(Should I be alarmed with that?, um let me think. YEAH!!). Mom keeps on telling me I shouldn’t sweat about it, that it’s just normal. Stubborn as always, I’m still on my track figuring the question behind this massive-high school-conscious-days. (We were like that). When it’s Com-In,(Computer Informatics - a subject back at high school) I’d listening to the lecturer while researching. I’ve bumped to couples of medical information and finally got some pieces of my puzzle.————
“Often it’s an illusion,” Prince explains, that occurs “when the lid, more often the upper lid, is drooping. The asymmetric appearance can make patients think ‘My eye is shrinking’ or ‘My eye is bulging.’” (The word for a bulging eyeball, Prince tells me, is “protoptosis.”)
Uneven eye size can be congenital — something you’re born with — or it can be related to surgery, injury or certain eye diseases, Prince says. “The most common cause is age,” he adds, noting that eyelid drooping (ptosis) often happens as we grow older.
And then there was this comment from Jane Kivlin, a pediatric ophthalmologist and professor of ophthalmology at the Medical College of Wisconsin:
A true difference in horizontal diameter of the iris and cornea is very rare and would most likely be due to elevated pressure in the larger eye prior to age 2 years when the cornea stops growing in size. Most often this is due to ongoing glaucoma, but some congenital glaucoma can resolve spontaneously. Many lay people refer to a different size of eye when actually it is that the lids are in a different position so more of the eye is covered. Usually this is upper lid ptosis but sometimes the lower lid will be higher making the eye look small, or lower, making it look larger. Looking at some pictures of McCain on his Web site, it looks like his left lid fissure is slightly smaller than his right, but it is not pathologic. He has overhanging skin in his upper lids, which is a common aging phenomenon.
So if your eyes suddenly seem disproportionate in size to one another, or if you’re at all concerned about your out-of-kilter countenance, an ophthalmologist can help you sort things out — and to rule out pathology, or disease.
Thyroid disease (including Grave’s disease) can cause retraction of the eyelid, making the eye look like it’s bulging, or cause the eye to actually bulge, Prince says. Many forms of thyroid disease can be treated once diagnosed.
In very rare instances, a tumor in the eye’s orbit can press the eyeball forward and make that eye appear larger, Prince says. (He expressed reluctance to even mention this, as it is indeed rare, and he didn’t want readers to panic. So, please, readers, don’t panic.)
Since my eyes have always been out of whack, I am most assuredly not panicking. In fact, I have come to embrace my imbalance just one more endearing aspect of who I am.
How about you? Are your eyes of two sizes? Does that bother you?
And have any of you been diagnosed with thyroid disease after noticing a discrepancy in the size of your eyes? - End (extracted from Jennifer LaRue Huget  |  September 29, 2008; 7:00 AM ET | The Washington Post )
Thyroid disease.Graves’s disease.Tumor in the eye. Reading this back then makes me wanna shout, I was palpitating and was in a state of deep silence. (I hope it’s congenital). We’ve consulted an ophthalmologist thinking, everything will be  fine and will be over  by the time this will be diagnosed. And luckily it’s just congenital. No hidden disease. No Thyriod or Grave or whatsoever. What a relief. It’s congenital and only needs a operation (which I’m afraid of). Years had pasts. Now, I’ve already embraced it, this is me and this is how God created my eyes. Like Jennifer LaRue Huget said “is an endearing aspect of who I am.” And Oh well I’ll just accept mom’s joke. “The left eye is a Chinese while the right eye is the Spanish and they don’t get along with each other”.

I guess this is the best webcam shot drawing I got. What do you think? yeah.. (nods)
I drew this while I was listening to a smooth ballad love song. And I was caffeinated that time too XD. The song is full of vocal acrobatics the reason why my maiden MAIA (the the one you’re seeing ) had a curly hair. (dang!). She has flowers too, well yeah, it’s quite gay-made but I think it suits her well. Girls should be decorated with flowers eh? And Lastly, it’s tinted red because, I was listening to a love song? bwahahaha.

Boredom strikes! In a dorm with no scanner and no decent cam to to use! OMG! how can I post my new drawings? I’d be doomed in my deviantart account! Think!Think!Think!

Staring at my only amusing “lappy” machine at disposal. Observing its edges, and caught the tiny circle at the center. Oh my, I got a not-nice-but-sure-it’s-decent-enough-idea.

    Eurika! my webcam!

So I started taking some photos of my arts. Trials, errors, and finding the right angle (ugh!). Unwanted fingers caught, sweats, coffee cups, potato chips (crunch2x).

And yeah! finally done! (shining grin)

Series of Webcam Shot Drawings -  relieved (YUSH!)

Note : Low quality at it’s best XD

I Gave My Heart To A Conjurer

    He was smart and witty
    Humorous and dandy
He amazes me in his every show
    A feeling I don’t wanna let go

    At first I was hesitant
But he convinced me it’ll be fine and instant
    He asked for my heart
A request I want to grant from the start

I was shocked and uplifted by spark
He made butterflies and roses come out from my heart
Bunnies and vibrant handkerchief come out with a sign
“I love you. Can you be mine?”

My love shined gradually for him
And I know his real though I only made a skim
    His smiles made me see
My heart will be safe with him for eternity

Another show and my heart is still shinning like gold
He put it in a box with many holes
A set of blades came out and pierced the box
I made a series of gasps and a series of shocks

I felt the pain and I’m palpitating
This is new and his hurting my feeling
I told him to stop but he only smiled and said
“Its for the show nothing personal feelings are shed”

I burst in tears, I thought there was emotional affection
Me and Him building up a sweet relation
    Reality bite so hard
My walls are trembling and killed my guard

The show was finished and everyone left
He didn’t even said goodbye as if I didn’t have a heft
I’m staring at my heart, its bleeding
I pitied myself and endlessly grieving

    I gave my heart to a conjurer…

    Hibernating

I’m kinda absent from all my social network accounts, with no updates, stories and arts. It’s because I’m giving myself a 2-weeks-rest and rejuvenation. I’m kinda skinny now and walks with a v-shaped face. I also got a lot of stressed red dots on all over it. I’m going on derma care and will also be taking a lot of vitamins and foods that’ll make me healthy once more.

This week I’m taking a lot of sleeps and water therapy and gobble fruits and veggies! and maybe give my new books a chance to be read. (I miss the smell of a good book XD). So, That’s it ma fellas’

Keep Safe and don’t let yourself be under-nutrition. I’ll be back maybe next month with movie blogs. :D

Happy women’s day, yo

What’s misandry, again?

Women perform 66% of the world’s work, but receive only 11% of the world’s income, and own only 1% of the world’s land.
Women make up 66% of the world’s illiterate adults.
Women head 83% of single-parent families. The number of families nurtured by women alone doubled from 1970 to 1995 (from 5.6 million to 12.2 million).
Women account for 55% of all college students, but even when women have equal years of education it does not translate into economic opportunities or political power.
There are six million more women than men in the world.
Two-thirds of the world’s children who receive less than four years of education are girls. Girls represent nearly 60% of the children not in school.
Parents in countries such as China and India sometimes use sex determination tests to find out if their fetus is a girl. Of 8,000 fetuses aborted at a Bombay clinic, 7,999 were female.
Wars today affect civilians most, since they are civil wars, guerrilla actions and ethnic disputes over territory or government. 3 out of 4 fatalities of war are women and children.
Rape is consciously used as a tool of genocide and weapon of war. Tens of thousands of women and girls have been subjected to rape and other sexual violence since the crisis erupted in Darfur in 2003. There is no evidence of anyone being convicted in Darfur for these atrocities.
About 75% of the refugees and internally displaced in the world are women who have lost their families and their homes.
Gender-based violence kills one in three women across the world and is the biggest cause of injury and death to women worldwide, causing more deaths and disability among women aged 15 to 44 than cancer, malaria, traffic accident, and war.
